Mark van Wyk
Founder Partner: Product Development, Project Lead, Software Development
Mark van Wyk is a software developer by trade. He is also a co-founder of FlyH2 Aerospace and is our internal aviation guru. Mark holds a Private Pilot License (PPL), RPAS Remote Pilot’s License, and a also Hang Glider Pilots License.
Mark’s background is systems architecture, analysis and enterprise software development. He is the author of the FlyH2 Skyla Flight Management System.
Mark is also a passionate environmentalist, hydrogen fuel cell expert and electronics hobbyist.
Founder Partner: Business Development, Operations Management
Onno is an environmental scientist by training, having completed dual Masters in Conservation Science and Zoology at UCT in 2000. A co-founder of FlyH2 Aerospace, Onno brings business development and strategic management skills into the company, derived from years as a management consultant, and programme director at WWF South Africa. Onno is a passionate aviator and the holder of a RPAS Remote Pilots License (RPL) and has published and contributed to over 14 papers on southern African ecology and ecosystems. Until recently Onno oversaw the Fynbos-Succulent Karoo Programme of WWF South Africa and managed the world renowned Table Mountain Fund.

Jacques is an engineer with over 20 years of experience in the design, development, integration and deployment of real time mission critical systems for vehicles and aircraft. He is also a full partner in FlyH2 Aerospace and brings with him over 10 years of experience in the design, implementation, rollout and management of strategic technology products and system solutions for the Aerospace and Defence, Safety and Security, Transportation and Logistics, and Infrastructure Monitoring industry sectors. Jacques provides FlyH2 key services in strategic planning, project planning and technical consulting.
Intern: Junior Aeronautical Engineer
Ike-Lee is a highly talented masters aeronautical engineering student at Wits University. Ike-Lee has joined FlyH2 Aerospace, initially performing vacation work, leading the aeronautical engineering side of integrating our fuel cell propulsion systems into the AMS Eagle-Owl. Ike-Lee has signed up for a 2 years masters internship programme with FlyH2 where he will be designing flight control algorithms needed for Alpha, which will be thoroughly tested in our hardware-in-loop (HIL) simulator.
